Gainsborough June ’10 Update Grass Cutting

We are pleased to inform you that following representations on your behalf that Paul McDonnell from the Parks Department in Fingal County Council meet with some residents recently and has agreed to the following:

“We agreed that the following areas will be cut on a fortnightly basis. The grass area at Gainsborough Park where we cut yesterday will continue to be cut on a regular basis and the grass area that circumnavigates the houses to the west of this area. Basically the narrow tract of land from Gainsborough Park to Gainsborough Green.

The remainder of the area east of Gainsborough Park to the entrance road to Abington to be maintained as wildflower meadow with a 2 metre verge cut along the footpaths and around the edge of the area. I left a map with the residents that I met,  of the areas and have instructed the depot to maintain the area as agreed with the residents this morning.”
