My colleague Cllr Darragh Butler and I have received a notice from Fingal County Council in relation to an application the council has received from Roadbridge Civil Engineering & Building Contractors for permission to temporarily close part of a road in the Dublin Airport area for the purpose of road construction.
It is proposed that the road will be closed from 10pm Friday 23rd June to 6am Monday 26th June 2017. The road in question is: L2020 (Naul Road/Forest Little Road) from its junction with the R108 to its junction with the R132. Alternative routes available for vehicular traffic are as follows: The R108 Southbound will have no access to the L2020. • R108 to L3132/L3133 • L3132/L3133 to R122 • Through the roundabout (second exit onto R108) • R108 to Old Airport Road (R108) • Old Airport Road (R108) to Swords Road (R132) The R108 Northbound will have no access to the L2020. • R108 to Cooks Road • Cooks Road to Forest Road • Forest Road to L2300 (Boroimhe Road) • L2300 (Boroimhe Road) to Swords Road (R132) The Swords Road (R132) Northbound will have no access to the L2020. • Swords Road (R132) to L2300 (Boroimhe Road) • L2300 (Boroimhe Road) to Forest Road • Forest Road to Cooks Road • Cooks Road to R108 The Swords Road (R132) Southbound will have no access to the L2020. • Swords Road (R132) to Old Airport Road (R108) • Old Airport Road (R108) to R108 • R108 to R122 • R122 to L3132/L3133 • L3132/L3133 to R108 Diversion signage will be in place for the duration of the closure. Local access for residents and business will be maintained at all times. Any person may lodge an objection in writing with the Senior Executive Officer, Balbriggan/Swords Operations Unit, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 10.00am on Friday 9th June 2017.
