My colleague Cllr Darragh Butler and I have received a notice from Fingal County Council in relation to an application the council has received from from Eir for permission to temporarily close a road in the Swords area for the purpose of carrying out upgrade works to the Eir Network.
It is proposed that the road will be closed from 8.00am to 5.00pm Tuesday 2nd May until Friday 5th May 2017. The road in question is: L7255, The Rath Lane, Swords. Alternative routes available for vehicular traffic are as follows: • Motorists travelling southbound along the R125 wishing to use L7255 The Rath Lane should continue along the R125, then take a right turn at the junction of the R125/L3145 Balcultry Road (Lispopple Cross), then continue onto the L3140 and continue onto the L7250 Surgalstown Road. • Motorists travelling westbound along the R125 wishing to use L7255 The Rath Lane should continue along the R125, then take a left turn at the junction of the R125/R122 at the sign for St Margarets, then take a left turn onto the L7250 at the sign for the L7250. Alternatively then take a left turn at the junction of the R125/L3145 Balcultry Road (Lispopple Cross), then continue onto the L3140 and continue onto the L7250 Surgalstown Road. • Motorists travelling northbound along the L7250 Surgalstown Road wishing to use L7255 The Rath Lane should continue along the L7250 Surgalstown Road, then take a right turn onto the R122 at the Stop sign, then take a right turn at the junction of the R122/R125 at the Stop sign. • Motorists travelling southbound along the L7250 Surgalstown Road should continue along the L7250 onto L3145 Balcultry Road, then take a left turn at the junction of the R125/L3145 Balcultry Road onto the R125. Local access for residents and businesses will be maintained at all times. Any person may lodge an objection in writing with the Senior Executive Officer, Operations Unit, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15 to arrive no later than 4.00p.m on Thursday 13th April 2017.
