My colleague Cllr Darragh Butler and I have received a noctice from Fingal County Council in relation to an order the council has issued temporarily closing a road in the Swords area following an application from Eir for the purpose of carrying out upgrade works to the Eir Network.
The road will be closed from 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday 24th April until Saturday 29th April 2017. The road in question is: Surgalstown Road, Swords. Alternative routes available for vehicular traffic are as follows: Motorists travelling northbound from L3140 Toberburr to Mount Ambrose or westbound on L3150 from Nevinstown wishing to use Surgalstown Road, should turn north onto L3145 Balcultry Road then take a left turn at the Junction of the R125/Balcultry Road Junction (Lispopple Cross) onto the R125,then take the left turn onto L7255 The Rath Lane. Motorists travelling eastbound along the L7250 Surgalstown Road wishing to use Surgalstown Road, should turn left onto L7255 The Rath Lane and take the right turn onto the R125, at the sign for Swords, then take the right turn at R125/ Balcultry Road Junction (Lispopple Cross) onto L3145 Balcultry Road. Motorists travelling southbound on the L3145 Balcultry Road wishing to use Surgalstown Road, should continue on the L3140 towards Toberburr taking the right turn onto L7245 for Laurestown heading westbound to the junction with the R122. Turn right onto R122 head north then turn right onto L7250. Motorists travelling southbound on L7255 The Rath Lane wishing to use Surgalstown Road, should turn right onto the L7250 Surgalstown Road to the R122 junction. Take a left at the R122 junction heading southbound, turn left onto L7245 for Laurestown heading eastbound, turn left onto L3140 Toberburr to Mount Ambrose head north.
