Status of the DART Interconnector that is, DART underground

QUESTION

To ask the Minister for Transport; Tourism and Sport the status of the DART Interconnector that is, DART underground; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

REPLY

As the Deputy is aware, the  National Transport Authority (NTA) is responsible for the development of public transport infrastructure within the Greater Dublin Area, including the DART Undergorund Tunnel which forms part of the DART Expansion Programme.
Noting the NTA's responsibility for implementation of public transport in the Greater Dublin Area, I have referred the Deputy's question to the NTA for a more detailed reply.
